| I don't remember if the 1197 has the same backlight in the screen like the new ones do, but I would go that route.
I had the 998c SI, and have since upgraded to the 1198. If I were you, and were already at $1299, spend the extra $600 and get a 1198 for around $1800. That's what I did. There's no comparison to the 2 sizes, especially when trying to view side imaging and mapping at once.
If you cant swing the extra cash for the big boy, go with the 998HD. The 998c would definitely be my last choice. | |
