It all depends on where you are located because the Ipilot link is useless unless you are running a HB and Lakemaster. I got suckered into the whole Ipilot link system only to find out that Lakemaster didn't even have a NE chip for my local waters! The follow contour feature is useless unless you have everything linked up and are running a lakemaster chip. It does not work with Navionics. That being said, I love my Ipilot and the spot lock feature is awesome. I even use it when trolling, keeping my trolling motor deployed when trolling by myself on windy days.....when I hook up with a fish and grab the rod, throw the boat in neutral and hit the spot lock. It's great to not have to worry about being blown into the rocks when your fighting a fish. I use both the remote and the foot pedal. Most of the time I'm using the remote but you need the foot pedal for making adjustments when mid cast.
