So decided to buy a Humminbird 859C HD combo and mount it on the bow of the boat. I'm considering attaching the transducer to the trolling motor via the adapter HB sells but I'm curious to hear from other who have done something similar. What did you do with the transducer cable? It can't run down the shaft for the motor as it doesn't go through the collar. Also, I assume it can be tricky reading the sonar as adjust the trolling motor would also move the transducer cone? Maybe I'm over thinking this?
