It also happens with a sticky footpedal. Mine is 4 years old and spins itself frequently. I assume MinnKota is footing the bill for the damage?

With a 36 volt Terrova on my 19' glass bass boat, I get at least 2 long days from my 101 before it starts showing power loss.

To get voltage I assume you just get a voltmeter and touch red to positive and black to negative. Or just take it to a Battery Store and have them check it for you.
