My son and I just purchased a new boat and got the 112 thrust terrova with ilink. While out fishing this weekend I hit the spot lock and was fishing from the back of the boat when I heard a squeak. The trolling motor had spun all the way around several times and was ripping out the cables. It broke the transducer cable. Minnkota has hooked me up with a service center to get it repaired but it was only the 4th time on the water. We had been out about 5 hours or so. The Minnkota rep said spinning can be caused by low voltage but I thought we should be able to get more time with 36 volts? I love the way the motor works and hope I don't have issues like this going forward. Anyone know how to check the voltage coming out of the plug?
Thanks for your help
