Subject: cold weather boating?


I will have my first boat in a week or two. I hope to fish all winter. In KY we can do that! However I am concerned that the cold weather could wreak havoc on a boat. What should I look out for? I am well aware of the personal safety issues.

What precautions should I take to keep the boat operating in the cold? How do you keep the live well, bilge, or lower unit from freezing if the temperature is below freezing on the way home?
