15 gallons seems a bit aggressive... Most I have ever used is 6 gallons in a season and I trolled a lot and made a lot of runs across the pond that year. 100 hours at cruising speed would take you across the US and I think most people that put 100+ hours on their big motor a season are trollers so the majority of the hours are at very low RPM's so the oil consumption is at a minimum. I buy a 6 gallon case of oil through Domo-online for about $36/gallon every year. I think that they are about identical if my math is correct as far as oil cost for consumption versus oil change cost. So in the end it's a Ford verse Chevy type of battle. Neither would still be in business if the other was superior. One is a lot heavier, one is a lot quieter. Pick your poison.

My boat is set up too perfectly for my style of fishing to justify me getting a new one any time soon. But I very well may be forced though to buy a Vrod when the time comes as they are the only ones with the power steering for the 200's as far as I know.
