I have a 2008 150 Etec on my Ranger 620T. I have never had a more solid motor. 1800 hours on it, 92% are below 750 RPM's with ZERO motor problems, ever besides changing plugs that's mandatory with a Etec every 300-500 hours. (Your motor will tell you). I had the idle programmed down to 485 and it trolls to nothing. I use approx 40 gallons of fuel to every gallon of XD100. It sips oil IMO, and I'd put it against a 150 verado any day. I get 49mph top end with a 4 blade cyclone and the torque is ridiculous out of the hole compared to any 4 stroke. I have driven them all and for the 150hp class the Etec hands down has my vote.

Still looking for an engine swap to replace my 02 Merc 150 EFI the 150 Merc 4 stroke or the 150 Evinrude E-Tech. Price wise there the same because right now I am told that Evinrude has a free control program going on. I basically just do 2 trips to LOTW a year and 1 of them is a trolling trip.
Input please!!!!
Thanks
Darren
