I don't know about the ETec 150 but my buddy has the ETec 250 and it chews through oil like crazy. Having to use XD 100 oil he's pretty much adding a gallon of $45 or whatever of oil every time he fills his gas tank.

He can afford it no problem so the expense isnt the issue. It peees him off to no end just having to deal with adding the oil.

We run around LOTW a lot and he's gotta bring 4 or 5 gallons of oil for a week of LOTW. That's like $200 in oil alone!

For me the expense of the oil and the hassle there is no question I will always have a 4 stroke on my boat.
