| I just purchase a Lowrance Elite-5 HDI (Broadband, Chartplotter, Downscan).
My current boat came pre-rigged with a Lowrance x-65. The power for that unit comes from the starting battery in the back of the boat that also powers the starter, nav lights, bilge and livewell.
Should I - or is it advisable to power my new locator from that same source.
I have a trolling motor battery in the bow. Should I use that as a power source?
My concern is about "noise" on locator or interference from the bow trolling motor.
Any idea how much power these locators use?
