Hiya

The toggle/wing nuts used would work fine, although if you have to remove the base for some reason, you will lose them on the bottom. This would be the best method if you don't remove the floor seat bases installed from factory usually have an aluminum base to them so the machine screws don't pull out like they can from wood.

The one issue you may find, though is that your through-hole will have to be bigger to get them to pass through, which means the base might be able to twist a touch once installed.
