I use it, and love it. pull up to a spot, select the contour or contour offset you want to follow, set the cruise control to about 0.5 mph, and then just fish it without worrying about controlling the boat. When you get to the end of the area you want to fish, just hit cancel pull the trolling motor, or head back through the same area going the other way. Obviously if you're wanting to slow down and really pick a spot apart, that method isn't so great (spot lock can come in handy here), but when you're just covering water, it's awesome.

The only thing I really wish it could do was follow a contour on a drift, but it really can't do that. It's possible to go down-wind if you're going faster than the wind, but rarely is that the case. As it is, it's really only useful when heading up wind.
