Here's a good start: in the Support Section of Lowrance's web site, there are a number of training videos I'd watch.
Or, if you're like me, I'd be getting power to it and turning it on right away! If you do that, go to the menu and turn on the "Simulator" mode. Then you experience it just like you're on the water -- ah, it feels so good to see those graphics running across the screen again!
