According to a Seminar held by Humminbird I attended If rigged properly it should not create a rooster tail The SI Transducer should sit out of the water when the boat is on plane at high speeds. I think many dealers did not get this concept when SI first came out. I had the benfit of Joe Carlson and Frankies Marine rigging my last two boats so they knew what the deal was but I have plenty of freinds who get the rooster tail beacuse the ducer is at the same level as the hgih speed 2D transducer.
