Subject: 998 Hummingbird




Location: Eastern Ontario		Anyone using and recommend this unit. Do bird transducers always send a roostertail up the transom of the boat most I have seen seem to. What is the internal mapping like? I'm guessing my navionics chips will work.
I was going to purchase a HDS7 and LSS2 but was offered the bird for almost half the price. I have always used Lowrance and have been reasonably happy. I realise this is last years model but when I phoned Hummingbird they said they support discontinued models for at least 7 years.
