Location: Sycamore, IL		A 55lb trolling motor will struggle in the wind...I have a Esox LTD with a 55 and it's a no go when the wind really kicks up...I would try to swing a 80lb motor if you can...post some pics of the "conversion" if you decide to make the boat a tiller...good luck, sound like a cool project.
