I currently have a saltwater 18' CC with LOTS of freeboard and find it catches too much wind when trying to fish docks or solitary structure. It is also made more for trolling and was great for salmon on Lake Michigan. I am pretty much done with that and would like a more comfortable fishing experience. I will stay with a walleye boat over a bass boat to maintain some freeboard, but am concerned whether they will fish well in higher waves. I have never been to LOTW, but I understand navigating 4-6 footers can be required when the wind kicks up. I would appreciate drawing upon your wisdom.

I have my eye on a 621, but do not want to regret the purchase. Thanks!
