Subject: Echo sounders


Hi guys
Is there any way to work out which direction a fish entering and leaving the sounder cone under the boat is travelling in relation to the boat. Mine is a "2D" type screen.
This question occured to me while fishing at anchor this weekend. You know, loads of fish showing on the screen but which way did they go? My own thoughts are "NO" but am I missing some very basic part of the plot here?
This may sound a real "noddy" type question but IN 27 years of using sounders I have never seen it addressed before
Thoughts and help here please ?
