personal preference ...both get the job done, the boat doesn't catch the fish..i started in a tiller, now i own a tiller and a console... tiller for small lakes up north, Ranger for bigger water... I like to go fast, yah some tillers go fast, but it's not like driving a race car .. lots of storage in both, Tillers like Lambeaus Skeeter sure do have room... just depends on what you like.. consoles can shield you a bit more from rain/wind/cold which is nice some days...
