I have a 2008 175hp Merc Opti Max, and a 2012 15hp Pro Kicker. I just left my long time Mercury dealer to buy some fuel conditioner, and he told me fogging was not needed if they were only gonna set for a few month, BUT, he also said to NEVER run them out of fuel. They both have electric fuel pumps and that will damage them. I did not know that, so I won't run them dry anymore.
