I fish out of a crestliner 1650 fishhawk and am wanting to put a kicker motor on it. We are going to be fishing a few small lakes that are 9.9 only lakes and don't want to kill our trolling motor. My question is would a 5hp four stroke do a decent job of moving this boat? We found a good deal on a five hp and did not want to pull the trigger if it would not move the boat at least good enough to do some light trolling.
