Location: plant earth		Minn kota 3 bank about 8 yrs now. 0 problems. I think that you need to keep in consideration where it's kept. Ventilation, moisture, etc. keep them off of damp carpet. Mount it down securely vibration, and banging around will absolutely destroy them.
