That Cherokee is based on the Crestliner 1750 hull. It's a deep V, not a bass boat. I know lots of guys with the C'Liner that have 9.9 kickers.

What make and year 6HP kicker is Ranger. The Merc Pro-kicker weighs 96 lbs. A new Merc 6HP weighs 57 lbs. That's less than 40 lbs. Older 6HP outboards could weigh as much or more than the ProKicker.
