Great motor and a great price on the rig. Yamaha motors are extremely solid overall. That is not to say things can come up over time, but they are very reliable and dependable motors. I have an F150 with quite a few hours and (knock on wood) its been great. The owner probably should have used a transom saver while trailering from what im getting from your original post. Elaborate on the trim cap issue if you could and I'm sure others who know more will chime in.
