If you cast a lot I would say you should go with a 858 HD or 858 HD DI. This unit is still less $$ than the 798 HD SI, and gives you a much bigger viewing area. Its all on preference, but the side imaging would be running off of your stern SI transducer and to get optimal readings you would have to be moving around 4 mph. So if I were you I would shoot for the bigger screen and forego the SI, and possibly the DI if cost is an issue.
