The beauty of using the GPS and electric motor in tandem is to allow you to 'paint' the line you want to follow; haven't seen the Lowrance/MotorGuide product yet, but it looks like you'll be able to.
Yeah, as I was reading a little more about the press release I think my mind immediately leaped to this being just like iLink. Based on the verbiage it seems its "chart-controlled" meaning you plot a path and it will follow it, versus select a contour like iLink.
I like the Pinpoint Connect idea better.
Granted Im still stuck on Gen1 electronics so I have some upgrading to do, but I think I know where I am headed next!
