Was @ Gander Mountain today and they have a sale on Minnkota Batteries.
I a looking for a new trolling motor battery.

I am looking at and would like opinions on which one to get and why?
Both are Group 27 size.

MK18 - 55 lbs, 575 cold cranking, 700 marine cranking, 160 reserve capacity, 95 amp hrs....

MK20 - 52 lbs, 500 cold cranking, 625 marine cranking, 180 reserve capacity, 105 amp hrs....

My current battery, 3 years old is a Northern. While it has been tested and they say it is OK, I do not get more than 4 hrs in heavy wind when using the trolling motor. It is rated @ 875 marine cranking and 170 reserve capacity.

This sale is real good and I can save some cash, but are these Minnkota's batteries Really that good as they say? For $60, it is a good deal....

Let me know which of the 2 you would get and which one should offer greater time on the water...

Thanks
