| I have a 24volt system running a trolling motor but have the batteries wired in parallel - not series. Motor works fine but was having a bunch of interference with one of my Humminbird 597 HD graphs that was connected to one of the trolling batteries every time I would run the trolling motor and would get large interfernce bars and depth readings would get all screwed up when the trolling motor was running. Decided to shift the graph connection from the trolling battery to the starter battery. That cleared up the interference. However, found next time I was on the water that most every time I started the boat it would freeze my 597 and couldn't even power it down and back on. I would have to disconnect from the mount, remount it, and then I could restart it. Clearly the short burst of cranking current upon startring the boat up is causing an issue.
Any thoughts on what I can do to either remove the interference when it is hooked up to the trolling battery or address the freezing issue by current bursts from the starter battery?
Much appreciated.
