I have a 598 and I would give up the down imaging in a heartbeat, but LOVE the SI. I take one pass through a bay and find the one rock pile 150' away from the boat...the alternative is to be essentially on top of it to find it. A larger screen would really help though. On the bow I could understand getting DI or regular 2D instead of SI though, as Im not cruising looking for a hot spot from the bow.
