| So the FICHT reared its ugly head. Its an 03 150 FICHT. Was running 5000 RPM across the lake when it started powering down, then sounded like it was starving for gas and died. Tried starting it, and after 10 tries or so it started up and ran for a few seconds and died.
Next Day backed it into the water and kept pumping the ball while the motor was running to keep it going. After 5 min of this it ran fine. Fished all day and drove around the lake just fine.
Last day driving around the lake at 5000 RPM it started powering down, so I gave my buddy the steering wheel and jumped back on the rear deck and started pumping the ball until it was running just fine again. Now it is in my garage.
Do you guys think it is the $70 fuel filter? Or the $720 fuel pump? | |
