If the new 150 Merc is half as good as my 150 zook it will be good. Thats how impressed I am with it. I was getting more speed from my boat than a buddy with a smaller lighter boat and he had a 200 Yamaha. Plus I used 10 gallons less gas on the same trip and I ran around way more than he did.
They are all good motors these days compared to only 10 years ago even.
The bad thing about that new Merc is it comes with all those people. The boat will get crowded.
