Have a local welder weld it.Less than a hundo and you should be like brand new. Skeg guards do not hurt performance just your lower unit should you hit another boulder or reef! Remember skegs are aluminum for a reason and thats to protect the motor by brakeing if impacted. If someone needs a detailed story i,ll respond.GL
