Location: Oregon, WI		Tried a 798 with my transducers off the water and can hear the pinging of the transducers. I cannot hear any pinging with my 998. Of course in talking with Humminbird support, they say this isn't a valid test as you don't always hear the pinging. In my opinion, no pinging no sonar. Why would you be able to hear it with one unit and on another, which incidentally isn't working, you can't?
