Location: Hudson,WI		With having a trolling motor with a shaft longer than 48", I was advised to put a ram mount on not only for the case of accidental deployment, but with all the vibration traveling up the longer shaft motors can cause damage to the head unit. I installed Rams on the last 2 boats I've had, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
