When mine went bad i did some research and it seems there are a few cables out there with zerk fittings but they seemed rare and from what i saw didn't always work. Another thing I saw several posts of guys hanging the cables up and pouring gas in them to clean them out. But most of what i saw seemed like a pain in the. Mine didn't have it and its fairly easy to replace so I just replaced it.
