My tow vehicle doesn't have the button to turn off overdrive so I leave mine in 3. I have Overdrive, 3,2,1.


That works too

I picked up my 21" Offshore boat (appx 3800lbs) in South Carolina and brought it back home (980 miles) with my '04 Ford Explorer 4.6l (220,000 miles) with no problems. Of course out of overdrive.
