Your problem might be not enough motor...regardless of prop size/pitch. But I'm not certain.

There should be a wire under your cowling that could be labeled "tach". If you get a "Tiny Tac" they are cheap and will do a great job. You just run a prop that get you close to max rpm's while at WOT. Problem is, do you really want to go out and buy a bunch of different props?
