Definitely use a second transducer with a y cable for readings at higher speeds.


Hi speed transducer should go on the white, above that 2nd step a foot away. Right where it goes horizontal after the diagonal part of the step. I always use a straight edge, and mount the lower face between 1/4 and 1/2 in below the bottom edge.

Use the Y cable, and put the SI transducer right or left of the middle on the red, so it reads slow speed when the boat is not on the pad. Make sure when the motor is fully down, it does not hit the transducer.
