I'm sure there's a microsopic coefficient of friction that decreases your hole shot and top end by .000003%, but ultimately, no. Depending on how long you get it, it should be mostly or entirely out of the water while on plane. They don't run the whole length of the boat. I think the KS for a 20' is 7' or 8'.
