I disagree with the last comment, although his brother clearly bit ripped off.
If you take your time, water test it and take it for an inspection at a marine service place you trust, then you could easily find a good boat at that price. Watch kijiji and Craigslist daily and be ready to pounce, but don't pay until you have thoroughly checked it over.
