The other option you have is to buy a single bank charger for the 4th battery. That's what I did. I have a 19' Champion that came with a 24V system. I rewired it (super easy after you diagram it and know what wires are what) for a 36V system and put a 101 Terrova 54" US2/AP on it. No regrets, never run out of battery power even when fishing 12-14 hour days in high winds or current. I have buddies who love the Maxxums and hate Terrovas/PD's, I have buddies who are the opposite. Both work fine, I just don't like standing like a flamingo all day.

I also installed the composite MinnKota quick release bracket on my boat because my cover wasn't made for a TM that sticks out as far as the Terrova does. At the end of the day, I take it off and put it on the floor in front of the seats in the cockpit. Takes about 15 seconds to put on or take off.

I am the guy that pushed Brian to get a 36V system on his new boat after a number of frustrating days where we'd run out of juice or the motor simply did not have enough power for the conditions. I really don't understand why so many people with 18+ foot fiberglass boats use 24V systems. You spend big money to buy these boats and skimp a few hundo to get the proper trolling motor. Doesn't make sense to me.
