Shep, when the closest bulk dealer is 20 miles away and often times not around when you need it you gotta pay the pipper (another reason for 4-stroke IMOP). I payed $45 at Gander last year and almost laid an egg! Also, the best bulk price I've found is around $30

In my 225 in a typical 100 hour year (I remember those days) without driving WOT much I would burn 2 tanks full easy (2.5-3 gal I can't remember). So at today's pricing of $30-$45 a gal you could be talking about $150-$300 in just oil. Maybe it's a factor and maybe it's not, that's up to the buyer.

Steve, they do burn fuel much cleaner I will say. But if you want to compare clean to clean you have to also look at any 2 stroke and the fact they still blow some oil back into the water. The new DFI's are LIGHTYEARS ahead of the old ones (remember the old tower of power?) but it's still a consideration for some people.
