I need some input on what fishfiner/gps combo unit to get. I make a few fishing trips a year and am putting together a portable unit that I can use on rental boats. I am new to the technology and since I won’t be using it often, I don’t need a top of the line model, just something that works well and is easier to use.

The models I am considering are:

Lowrance HDS-5x Fishfinder/Chartplotter w/enhanced basemap

Lowrance Elite-5 DSI Color DownScan Imaging Fishfinder + GPS Chartplotter

Humminbird 597ci HD Combo Internal GPS Chartplotter and Fishfinder

Humminbird 587ci HD Combo Internal GPS Chartplotter and Fishfinder
