| Your kicker motor shouldn't factor into the max hp of the boat. If your insurance company is trying to tell you that it does, then that is one goofy ins. company.
I just put a the new Merc 150 on my boat, unfortunately not a lot of time on it since it is hard water. Everyone I have talked to said it is going to be a good one, and that it is one hot motor. The general consensus seems to be that while the sticker says 150, it is putting out well over that.
When I looked at the yammy it was about a $3000 upcharge over the Merc. Not saying anything bad as the Yammy 150 is the gold standard of 150's, but there is a significant price difference between the two. | |
