If u r gonna spend that amount u will likely be looking at an older boat and there will be a very good chance that the boat and trailer package will not be as wide as some of the newer or more exoensive models. I put my 16' fish hawk with a swing tongue straight into my slightly less than 20' garage. The tough part is the width. I have a quarter inch clearance on each side of trailer. It is an upward slope so I have to back it in. It's a little annoying. I'm pretty good at it now. My wife says its because I fish too much. Lol.
