Another poster sent me a catalogue that appears to have a seat that can adjust in height and that also has a flip up foot pedestal (link below). I had no idea something like this exists and appreciate the combined knowledge and suggestions of people on these fishing sites. Thanks for all the input, hope to be back on the water next year either in a new boat, or by using this seat pedestal arrangement in the old one.
