That is a killer idea bro!! Been running a Terrova 80lb for 5-6 years, or since the came out, and since day one, hated the pedal as I only use 1 tenth of it(the rear 3 buttons). During the summer I often run it barefoot, as I can feel the dang buttons. Looks like Danny Devito in a polka dance off come fall and I'm in my Iceman boots trying to work a break...

Figuree and I have been discussing for a few years now, that a pedal which incorporates the 'flat-bed' touch design as seen with some video game floor pad controllers for kids. In other words a pedal/pad that is near paper thin, with two big left/right tabs, and a go in between. Your idea will allow one to keep his/her foot on the floor and stable while running the pad, while incorporating some separation between the buttons. I might use something a tad more durable that Plano dividers...

I also have/use the remote, but as a 'pulser' by nature, I require finite adjustments ultra-frequently, and while I've gotten used to the pedal, really dislike it.
