5.3L Vortec is plenty big enough and pulls it w/ ease. Many times I forget I'm pulling a fully loaded 620. Anyone that has ever been in my truck when towing has commented on how it feels as if nothing is behind the truck. Pulls boat out of the worst ramps in late fall with ease...

I carry a recovery strap with me nearly all year and have spent several times pulling even bigger trucks out of snow banks with ease...
