That's a pretty heavy boat on a single axle trailer. 1500 pounds per tire might be the issue if that is all they carry. I have a feeling you might be seeing upwards of 4000 with the boat rigged and full of gas, which might explain the two blow outs.
Never hurts to have them look at the trailer, though...they might find something. If your capacity numbers are correct for your tires, I think you might need a higher weight rated tire.
13" or 14" rims? What size did you have on it?
