Subject: Paint for Aluminum Boats


I have an older boat and want to touch up the paint in a few small areas. I researched painting aluminum boats and there are many different products to use. The area that I want to touch up is at the water line and the boat stays in the water for the season, fresh water. I was told to use Interlux Primocon metal primer with Interlux Trilux 33. Then I was told to use a zinc barrier primer and Rustoleum spray paint, and someone else suggested automotive paint. Has anyone done this and what would you suggest?
